You can't have Nash as a 2C. That's just asking for trouble. Canes would be better off with Lindholm as a 2C with Jordan out. |

Might be just what the Canes need for their franchise. Call it Eichel insurance. Carolina as good a bet as any to finish in the league basement. |

There is no real good option, but if you sandwich Nash between 2 pretty good 2-way forwards and lean a bit on Gerbe/McClement/Dwyer for some of those hard minutes, it might be the best the team can do.

It's painful enough to punt on a season in early March. I will NEVER do it in September though I get the dire forecasts for the Canes and that this doesn't help. |

My hope is that this injury forces the Canes to make a trade. Perhaps Calgary would be willing to part with Stajan and Smid.... |

Broken Fibula & probably even Tibia... Happened to me (Fibula) this summer. Out 2-3 months. Feel for the guy.
I hope he doesn't need screws and a plate. That will definitely make skating uncomfortable |
